Eyelash extensions have become a very popular form of beauty enhancement. They help to make a woman’s eyes appear even more alluring. With longer and thicker eyelashes, it is easy to draw another person’s attention to this part of the face. This is why so many women take such care with their eye makeup. However instead of having to just rely on mascara and eyeliner that only enhances for a day, women are now turning to the use of eyelash extension supplies to create this effect for a much longer period. On average it can take between 2-4 weeks before a woman needs to have a touch-up done on their eyelash extensions. To help extend this period and keep your lashes looking appealing for longer, it is advisable to adhere to certain care tips.

One common problem newbies have is the lashes clump together shortly after the appointment. This is typically as a result of the glue not getting enough time to properly dry. It can take up to a couple of days for the bonding to be complete so avoid touching the lashes, or exposing them to water. This means not washing the eye area for a couple of days and avoiding activity that would cause you to sweat or exposure to steam. Also avoid other surface contact to the face such as with the pillow. Ensure you sleep laying face up to avoid damaging the lashes before they have properly set.

Later on whenever you wash your face, or eye areas in particular, make sure to handle this part gently. Do not rub your eyes. When applying mascara do so sparingly and just to the tips with an upward sweeping motion. You need to regularly brush your lashes with an eye shadow brush for proper maintenance. Also never use an eye curler on these lashes.
